Ibiene is a Nigerian author and poet who resides in Canada with her family. Ibiene's body of work includes Inspector Dagogo (2022), Loving Gladys (2020), and Yardsale (2013). Ibiene loves writing about the ordinary lives of ordinary people who take each day as it comes. She also writes about theology and the issues surrounding the modern-day church on the theology blog, No Continuing City.

Ibiene has an MA in Criminology and Criminal Justice (King's College London) and a BSc in Psychology (The University of Manchester). She is also a Certified Administrative Professional (CCAP) and a member of the Association of Administrative Professionals.
